At In Control we believe that everyone can benefit from Crash Prevention Training. This is especially true of our local police officers. Their job is demanding and risky, and the biggest threat to their safety is vehicle accidents. Officers are required to be trained and retrained in handling their firearm, while the equally dangerous activity of driving is often overlooked.

A typical Police Officer does not pull a weapon during their whole career, but gets into a near fatal car crash every year.

In addition to this direct threat, driving is the most visible and active part of officers’ duties in the community. Through our training, officers not only become safer drivers, but better stewards in the community. By presenting professionalism in the most visible aspect of their duties, officers will improve the entire community and garner even greater respect for their willingness to learn and improve.

By giving your department these skills, you can make your officers safer, save your department/community money, create a better force for the public and do something that all the participants will genuinely enjoy as a "perk" of the job.

Emergency braking skills (ABS), including two-off maneuvers
Advanced steering skills, including over and under steering and speed control

Emergency avoidance maneuvers
Pursuit techniques

This is supplemented with classroom discussion and training that additionally addresses:

Situational awareness
Understanding road-rage
Airbag awareness
Vehicle assessment
Pursuit responsibilities and ethics
Other topics pertinent to the specific individuals involved
